What I Currently Invest In

Hello World,

I don’t know why people are often scared of sharing what they are investing in. Yes, don’t give out the actual manufacturer information for the products you are selling for your business. This makes sense because, other people can copy and the demand for your product will slowly become less. However, you are allowed to share things like stocks and real estates or other ideas that everyone can participate.

I believe in a community system. I like to share and learn. That’s the best way of learning for me. No secrets! You have a question then just ask, you will have an answer if I have the answer. You share your learnings and I share mine and we both grow together.

I currently invest in real estate. I look up properties using Redfin or contact various real estate agent to get listings to find properties I can afford.

In addition, I invest in stocks and ETFs. There is a lot of stocks I invest in but, I made the most money on my Tesla stocks as I bought them early while they were low. I also buy a lot of ETF’s as they pay dividends. The strategy here is to keep investing in dividends and over the cours the dividends will become an income. It’s hard to see the impact if you buy on one or two shares of ETF’s. I would suggest taking an ETF like IShare XDIV and investing a $500, or $1000, each month or year, depending on how much you can put aside. The compunt effect will help you earn a lot more dividends as the time goes by.

Thank you for your incredible support!!!

What Has This Lockdown Taught You?

Hello World,

Sorry I am late, work has been crazy! But I am just checking up on you all!

Unpredictability! My worst fear, something that gives me deep anxiety. Yes, unpredictabilty is what I have learned from this lockdown. I have also learned to accept it.

Just like most people, it has been testing for me. I was given new challenges at work that I had to quickly adapt to in these testing times of lay offs. One of my family members passed away. Over all I was just alone pick up all my emotions and work.

Being prepared for these unprecedented times is actually what would help you gain a bit of confidence. However, some obstacles you just have to deal with and own. Feel the emotions and get back to working. Feel your emotions completely and talk about it. For examples, if you lost your job, or someone at home is sick or you are struggling with something… try to find people who went through similar expeirences and just talk about it. It will help you.

What really helped me through 2020 is listening to podcasts. I wasn’t willing to open up completely with all that was going on. The podcasts were interesting, I resonated with the stories without having to tell someone my story. I learned how other people deal with anxiety and challening situatoins. The stories were not all about coping. These were various podcast starting from finanace to simply being happy. The subject varied widely. All I can say is it help me a lot.

There will be really shitty and hard times in life! Really rock bottom times but, you have to own all situations. When I say all situations, I mean the worst of the worst. You can’t be too comfortable with your current situation. I hope of the best for everyone, but you have to be uncomfortable enough to know that you may lose it all tomorrow. You should be able to turn around and say I am okay or not okay with that!

If you are not okay with a certain situation then plan early for it if you can. If you can’t then give yourself some time to cope.

Thank you for all your support! I hope you are all strong during these unsettling times!

Feeling Guilty When There is Nothing to do…

Hello World,

Be Positive, Patient and Persistent… is the motto of all the blogs I have posted and I really mean it. Sometimes it is hard to be all that and when it is, you need to take a breather. Take some time off and then get back at your goals and creativity.

I suffer from feeling guilt when I have free time, which is a patter of workaholism I am not really proud of. I have used working a lot as a coping mechanism to get over a loved family memeber. I worked and worked. I am not complaining, it helped me a lot. I grew my skills. I read a lot. I expanded my wealth in skill. Though, it is amazing in one aspect, feeling guilty when there is free time is not as healthy.

You need to relax when you have free time. You need to find the balance between work and personal life. I am still on my journey to actually finding the balance as any sort of project or work fulfills me. That’s why, I encourage you to take breaks, take vacations and turn off your work when you do need it. No, need to feel guilt and if you do, just remind yourself that work will always be there.

How not to self Destruct

Hello World,

Listen I have been there! I have been in situations where I want to give up and quit. It’s a sucky feeling. You feel as if you have no to share the pressure with and only way you to get out of these emotions is by quitting or procrastinating–I am not saying anything further as I don’t want to promote anything negative! But you get my point!

First of all, change your perception. Perception is a big concept in our lives. We live, set goals and our emotions around how we perceive, need and want from the Universe. It’s never constant!

Yes, who ever told you that you have to reach a constant state of happiness (they lied!)… concentrate on the word state!  Yes! State. Happiness is a state. Which means you will face your up and down, high’s and lows! It is not possible to be happy round the clock! If you were happy around the clock then you are at a monotone state. You don’t have any other emotions to compare your happiness to, anger, sadness, etc.  Which would mean that you can never feel heightened joy.

That’s why change your perception. Life is full of ups and downs and it’s short! Shorter than you think. Get up and put in that work!

Don’t work hard but work smart…ever heard of that? What people don’t tell you is in order to work smart at some point in life, you have to work hard before! Put in that hours, earn your degree, learn a new skill-set, travel the world, read books, contribute to the community, make a difference!

Whatever you do, don’t stop believing in you and do not quit today!

-DLA  – please share and motivate others :)!
